Is the shift toward AI causing web3 designers to abandon their field?
This question was posed to me during an AI experiment. I’d like to clarify that, no, being a web3 designer doesn’t limit one’s exploration of other areas such as AI.
Web3 design is not just a niche; it’s an expansive industry with continuous growth and learning opportunities. As a designer, my role involves exploring and mastering new domains. Currently, my interest lies in AI but this does not imply I’ve left web3 behind.
To illustrate, I began as a brand identity designer before moving into print and product design. Later on, I delved into Pitch decks followed by growth marketing yet remained part of brand design throughout these transitions.
As creatives we’re tasked with discovering new things and expanding our knowledge base which can lead us across various industries over time.
Gradually, through this process of exploration we become more proficient in our chosen fields — for me currently that’s Web3.
While still studying AI and its potential applications, I continue to explore and innovate within the realm of Web3 too.
If you are hesitant about venturing into AI fearing people might think you’ve abandoned Web3 — don’t be! Embrace the opportunity to learn something new.
